Like this restaurant for their food, but didn't like that our waitress appeared super rushed, when there weren't that many tables seated. Mind you, my family is a regular here. So obviously I'll be back.
The atmosphere here is horrible. Its like someone had a series of bad ideas back in the 70's and just went with it. I've only ever ordered the pork chops here and Every time the waitress asks how I want them cooked. I always want my pork cooked well for obvious reasons, to which the waitress (different ones on different visits) say, "that will take a long time" in which I reply, "so will a trip to the emergency room" the food is good though.
We have been dining at this restaurant since they opened in 1978. Food is always great and well worth the money. Janice has been there for a long time and she is an excellent waitress. But we can't say the same about MaryAnn. We hope that Mary (the owner) could teach her good manners and make her understand that tossing the food on the table, ignoring the patrons and being rude is a recipe for disaster. What a horrible experience we had! Sorry Nardy's but we are not going back for as long as she is there.
Calamari is very good. Very large portions. Service can be pretty slow when busy.
This is what good Italian cooking us all about. Great prices and enormous portions. Friendly owners and area anchors.
